Meet Our Director
JENNIFER SHERWIN graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught in public elementary schools for 17 years. Her experience includes teaching preschool through third grade, as well as training teachers, as a reading coach.
Her husband, Mike, introduced her to Crossings in 2006 and they married in 2007. Together they have five children, and their family has served in the church in various ways over the years. She enjoys many loving relationships with this church family, and she says “they continuously encourage her to mature in her faith”. It has been her joy to serve as a volunteer in both the children and youth ministries at Crossings.
Jennifer says, “In a world that is full of conflicting influences, I believe young people need much guidance and love to develop a true relationship with God. As educators and caregivers, teachers have the important task of helping families “train up children in the way that they should go” (Proverbs 22:6). With this in mind, I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with the very young children and their families in our preschool. This is a wonderful setting for sharing Christ’s love and supporting others as they grow in their walk with God.”
