"I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me" (Matt. 25:40).
We're so proud of Crossings Community Church's passion and desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus, not only in Sanford and the surrounding communities; but in places as far away and needy as Honduras and Haiti.
If you're interested in attending one of our International Mission Trips, please contact our Director of Missions, Evonne Meagher at email@example.com.
Each time one of our teams returns from a Mission Trip to Honduras, they return powerfully impacted by what they saw and experienced while serving in one of the poorest countries in the world. Our teams have been forever changed as a result of this ministry experience.
We send a team to serve in Honduras twice a year. We're always looking for new people with variety of skills and gifts to join us on these mission trips.
Mission Trip to Honduras - October
We had an amazing week in Honduras and were given many opportunities to share the love of Jesus Christ! We visited people in their homes and prayed with them. One day we went to an orphanage and hosted a vacation bible school. Our team also ministered to a whole community out in a rural area by providing a medical clinic and remodeling a public school. A new roof was constructed. All new electrical wiring and fixtures were installed and the entire school was painted inside and out. The classrooms were outfitted with new desks, cabinets, and school supplies. Our team built 10 bunk beds for families in need. Many of the people from the village joined in and worked alongside of us! For two days at the church we hosted a vacation bible school to reach the unchurched children living nearby. We were able to attend Sunday and midweek church services at our sister church. On Thursday, we went up into the mountains to the church in Bamboo. While we were there we had a mini vacation bible school and a medical clinic. During the medical clinics we were able to pray with each patient, offer hope, and give out vitamins. We walked over the mountain, through the woods, and a river to deliver some of the bunk beds to families in need. On our last day we had a dedication celebration for the school. Almost the entire village joined us as we prayed over the building! God is doing some wonderful things in Honduras and we are blessed to be a small part of it. A special thank you to the team and the donors that made this trip possible!
