Keith was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. As a middle child among five, he shared his home with one brother and three sisters. He was raised in a Christian home and three of the five children are serving in full-time ministry. His older brother is a pastor in Colorado Springs, CO, and a younger sister and her husband pastor in Hubbard, Ohio.
Keith remembers that while in the third grade, he distinctly felt God's call upon his life for ministry. Although he loved God, he remembers that he was not excited about the idea of becoming a pastor when he grew up. Nevertheless, the call remained and grew stronger throughout his years of school. Upon graduating from high school, Keith entered college to begin preparing for full-time ministry. As it happens with so many young people while attending college, Keith recounts that one day a beautiful young woman caught his eye. There was an immediate attraction, and Keith eventually asked Nora who would later become his wife, if she would go out with him. They were married later that year in August of 1972. They have a son and daughter and four grandchildren.
After Keith and Nora were married, he left college. Although Keith and Nora never strayed from God and remained active in church, Keith could never escape his call to ministry. Thirteen years later he returned to college to complete his education and prepare for full-time ministry. While in college, he served as a youth pastor for two years. Upon graduation, he pastored a church in Ohio for four and one-half years. Following that he pastored a church in Pennsylvania for ten years. Keith and Nora arrived in Lake Mary to begin pastoring Crossings Community Church the first Sunday of June 1998.
Keith and Nora love pastoring the Crossings congregation. They share that it has been and continues to be one of the most positive experiences of their ministry. It has been obvious that God has His hand of blessings upon the church and they are convinced that He has wonderful and exciting plans for the future of the congregation. They are honored and consider it a special privilege to be called pastor's and serve Crossing Community Church.
On a personal note, Keith enjoys woodworking and special home renovation projects. He also enjoys working in the yard and is trying to get back into fishing. He tried the usual preacher sport of golfing, but didn't do well. The last time he went golfing, while attempting to tee off, he drove the ball to the right and struck a man on the opposite fairway on the leg as he was putting on the green. At that, God decided to have mercy on golfers everywhere by delivering Keith from the desire to ever attempt golfing again! Other than watching the news and football, his favorite television program is M.A.S.H. reruns.
I have been involved in worship ministry for the last 12 years and my wife Kathleen and I have been in ministry for the last 10 years leading worship and mentoring young believers.
Kathleen and I are both Registered Nurses and have always dreamed of raising a family in the ministry, and perhaps one day on the mission field. We have been blessed with two sets of twins, Cadence and Avery age 6 and Isaac and Noah 18 months. We are living an adventure every day.
I have a passion for worship and leading people into the presence of God through music. Before Gods love apprehended me at age 22 I was lost in a world of drugs and despair. I ran after those appetites with abandon. I now run after Christ with that same abandon. I believe in singing praise and worship to God like it's my last chance, every time. I believe God has prepared and called my family to Crossings for this season of worship. I look forward to cultivating many close friendships and an atmosphere of freedom in God's presence.
I have been attending Crossings Community Church since 1998 and I have been blessed to work for Crossings since 2003.
Growing up as a Pastor's daughter, church has always been a huge part of my life. The importance of serving and being connected in a local church body was planted in me at a very young age. Therefore, I have been serving in church ministries since I was old enough to participate. You name it, I've served in it!
Aside from serving in various ministries at Crossings, I'm grateful to have the opportunity to use my gifts and my degree to benefit this awesome church! Graduating from Stetson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and a minor in marketing has given me the skills I need to handle all external and internal communication and graphic design at Crossings. I am passionate about meeting new people and helping them feel welcome in our church. I have a desire to reach out to our community and let them know what an awesome church Crossings is!
I met my husband, Wes, at Crossings in 2001 and we were married in August of 2003. We have two little girls, Payton and Reagan and a son Ashton. They're the light of our lives!
Oh, one more thing...just in case you were wondering. Yes, I'm proud to say that Pastor Keith is my father.
Pastor Chris Dearth has been working with children since 1994 where he first served as Children’s Pastor in the Columbus, Ohio area. He and his wife, Debby and their three children, Sarah, Hannah, and Jonah, moved to Orlando in 2002, where they immediately became involved with the children’s ministry. Pastor Chris and Debby served as Children’s Pastors for 12 years at Church in the Son. They have recently accepted the position as Children's and Family Pastors at Crossings Community Church and are excited to reach this generation for Jesus! They are the creators of GAK (God's Anointed Kids) ministries which includes their original weekly curriculum.
Pastor Chris is a child magnet! The kids are crazy about him!. It is not uncommon to hear children visiting GAK tell their parents they just “have” to come back to GAK! Pastor Chris believes in loving and ministering to each child as an individual. “Love the child, not the crowd” is one of his core values for kids ministry. His goal is to not only minister to each child, but their entire family! Debby works behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. She is the creative engineer behind every teaching series, graphic and set design.
Whether it’s getting slimed, pied, or becoming a crazy character, Pastor Chris will do anything to get the point of a lesson across. Pastor Chris and his wife, Debby don’t just leadGAK, they ARE GAK! The whole GAK concept and approach to ministry to children has come out of their ever-growing, and never-changing desire to see children come to know Jesus as Savior and live for Him all their lives. As they lay the foundation for the kids, their desire is to impart God’s Word in creative ways that bring love and laughter to each child’s heart.
Chris and Debby have been married for 30 years.Even more than rooting for his favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, looking for a good fishing hole, or teaching his dog, Zelda, some new tricks, Chris most loves spending time with Debby and their son, Jonah, daughters, Hannah and Sarah, and sons-in-law Dan and Jimmy. He and Debby are the proud grandparents of Owen and are expecting a new granddaughter in November!
I grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin and was saved at the age of 12 while on vacation in Florida. When I was a young mother I rededicated my life to the Lord and joined a Ladies Bible Study and a local church. My mother has been a great Christian influence in my life. She has served in outreach ministries since she became saved and encouraged me to get involved as well. She started going on mission trips a number of years ago and told me someday I would too. Over the years I have been active in volunteering with the homeless and underprivileged in Orlando.
My family and I came to Crossings in 2005. I am married and have three children. When I came to Crossings I volunteered first with the AWANA and then the youth programs. Eventually, I became the youth director. While working with the youth we participated in a number of local outreaches and domestic mission trips. My goal was for the students to experience being the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world. In July, 2010 I organized the first Crossings mission trip to Honduras for 30 people. I became the Director of Missions in March of 2012. It has been exciting to see Crossings change their focus over the last few years to become outreach and mission minded. It is my hope that in the future everyone at Crossings would become involved in missions.
We have lived in Lake Mary since we were married in October 1999 and began attending Crossings in June 2006. Courtney is a graduate of Stetson University and Brad is a graduate of Seminole State College. He owns his own automotive repair business in Debary. We have 2 girls, Jordan and Jade. The warmth and love we felt at Crossings on that first day was overwhelming and we knew right away we wanted this to be our church family.
Church has always been a huge part of Brad's life, growing up in a large Christian family. It was natural for him to dive right in to serving at Crossings. He volunteered as the high school youth leader for 4 ½ years and Courtney joined the Children's Ministry Team. We have both volunteered with the AWANA and VBS programs. Crossings' love for their children is evident through their ministries. The way we have seen our children grow over the years in learning faith, trust and love is truly amazing.
We feel blessed to have this opportunity with the youth program to serve the Lord while guiding young teens to Him. This age is so crucial and comes with so many outside influences. We have a passion to teach these kids about God's constant love and devotion for good in their lives. Our goal is to offer a safe Christian environment where kids want to come to have fun and learn about the Lord. We look forward to growing together and impacting lives for Him!
My family and I have been attending Crossings Community Church since November 2007. I have been part of church ministry since birth in one way or another. My father was a pastor and my husband is a retired pastor of a church in Longwood, FL. My husband and I have 3 children (girls) and 7 grandchildren. We are fortunate to have one of our daughter's, her husband and 2 of our grandchildren attend Crossings with us. Our daughter, Shawna, is part of the Worship Team.
I enjoy serving Crossings and working with Pastor Keith and the other members of the staff in any way I can. It's exciting to be a part of the new ministries taking place at Crossings Community Church. I feel blessed to be part of this ministry.

I have attended Crossings since 1994 and have served as church treasurer for most of those years. I also serve on Crossings Board of Directors and am a member of the Women’s Ministry team.
I grew up in rural Ohio in a wonderful, loving family. My parents taught me to love Jesus and stressed the importance of working hard and living a life of integrity. I feel as if I won the lottery to have been given such a wonderful head start in life. I have two young adult children who were blessed to grow up in Crossings. My husband Frank is the saxophone player on the worship team; he has a lot of fans, but I am his biggest!
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and am a non-practicing CPA. I own an IT-staffing business in Lake Mary and have seen God’s faithfulness over and over again as I’ve learned to allow Him to be my CEO, CFO and COO.
It is an honor for me to serve as Crossings’ treasurer. I consider it of highest importance to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of our church’s finances and am very thankful that God has placed me in a position of service where I am able to use the talents He has given me.
