See I am doing a NEW THING! Now it springs up;

do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43:19

Why an athletic/event center?

Crossings Community Church is passionate about ministry to families, children, teenagers and adults in the Crossings’ family and our community.

Sports is an important part of the American culture, and it is Crossings’ dream to incorporate sports as a regular part of our ministry. This would impact not only Crossings’ families, but our Sport’s Ministry/Program would be open to children, teens and families in the community.

A high school size gym will provide the space for a variety of recreational events, along with basketball, volleyball and other indoor games.

The Event Center part of the facility will provide a place for the church to conduct a variety of all-church gatherings with groups up to 500 people indoors.

The Event Center would also be available for community wide events hosted by or sponsored by the community such as banquets, conference, and other community meetings.

Why a multi-use building?

Our current Children’s Ministry space is woefully inadequate, outdated and not secure with every classroom door open to the outside.

In the redesign of our Children’s Ministry space, our current rooms will be updated and reconfigured with a secure check-in are, on enclosed hallway, and a large kid-friendly gathering room as part of the multi -use space.

Our teens do not currently have their own space. Our Student Ministry has their recreation time outside and their meeting space is in the sanctuary/worship area which requires weekly set-up and tear down. Our Student Ministry needs their own room with a space for games, a cafe, worship and lessons in the Multi-Use Building.

Why a third space?

Crossings’ facility has no gathering area or cafe’ area for connecting and building community.

A Third Space will include a cafe’, and create a larger area for the church and community groups to enter, meet, and make connections.

The Third Space will also enclose an area that is currently open and often unusable to heat, rain and cold.

Total new construction and remodel will be 14,900 square feet

at an estimated cost of $3.4 million dollars.
